All curriculum is purchased by Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy for your use. Unused portions (textbooks etc) are returned to Ignite.

The following curriculum links have been organized according to grade levels. Choose the level of curriculum that meets your child’s needs for each subject area. There are links to placement tests where applicable.

Whole Year Curriculum

Happy Cheetah
Reading Kindergarten

Happy Cheetah Reading teaches reading using both phonics and sight words. It also teaches printing, spelling, and beginning language arts (e.g., sentence structure, punctuation, and rhyming words). The course is designed primarily for use with students who struggle to learn to read, whatever their age, but it can also be used with students who do not struggle. It does not require students to memorize rules or take tests. Instead, it involves continual interaction between the parent and the student using auditory, visual, and kinesthetic methods.

Provides students with a fun, multi-sensory experience learning to read and write that engages their senses, works naturally with their desire to wiggle and play, and lays a strong foundation for reading and writing success.

Explode the Code
A-C

The Get Ready, Get Set, and Go for The Code, A, B, and C student workbooks provides pre-literacy instruction and reinforcing exercises with a focus on visual identification of consonants, their written lowercase letter forms and their sound-symbol relationships. Each lesson addresses the principles of effective reading instruction and follows the same easy-to-use format. The Teachers Guide is required for providing listening exercises.

All About Reading
Pre-reading

All About Reading is a highly interactive multi-sensory program that needs to be taught by the parent or teacher. The lesson plans are scripted and illustrated, making it simple for the inexperienced parent or teacher to present the lessons with little or no prep time. Even though it is scripted, this curriculum is easy to adapt to each child’s needs by selecting among the suggested hands-on activities, choosing their favorite books for read-aloud time, and adjusting the pace and amount of interaction.

Fun-Time Phonics!

Fun-Time Phonics! is a classroom-proven program that is effective with all beginning readers. This fun, colorful, powerful program builds from students’ natural speaking abilities, developing their auditory awareness of vowel sounds and incorporates multisensory instruction for introducing the alphabet and short vowels.

Great Works Literature

These sets are essentially teacher’s lesson plans with accompanying reproducible activity sheets. The studies are very cohesive both internally as they work through a literature selection

Spelling You See Level A:
Listen and Write

For the beginning reader who is learning letter names and sounds and how to hold a pencil properly. This level is designed as a transition from phonics/reading skills to writing skills. Without an overall understanding of the program, this level might seem more phonics than spelling and part of the emphasis is on beginning handwriting skills. Resources include a Daily Dictation List, a General Dictation List, a Glossary, and a Bibliography.

Zaner Bloser
Handwriting K

The Zaner-Bloser Handwriting workbook features letter models with arrows, simplified stroke descriptions given for every letter that are easy to remember. This is a collection of reproducible black and white masters for extra practice.

D'nealian
Handwriting K

The D’Nealian handwriting method seeks to make the transition from manuscript to cursive easier by adding a slant to the manuscript print and more similarity in the letter strokes between manuscript and cursive with less flourishes in general. The Kindergarten book includes a section on correct sitting position and starts with readiness skills. Letters are first finger-traced, then copied. Numbers, lowercase letters, and uppercase letters (in that order) are introduced and practiced.
