All curriculum is purchased by Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy for your use. Unused portions (textbooks etc) are returned to Ignite.

The following curriculum links have been organized according to grade levels. Choose the level of curriculum that meets your child’s needs for each subject area. There are links to placement tests where applicable.

Illustrative Math

IM 6–8 Math is a problem-based core curriculum rooted in content and practice standards to foster learning and achievement for all. Students learn by doing math, solving problems in mathematical and real-world contexts, and constructing arguments using precise language. Teachers can shift their instruction and facilitate student learning with high-leverage routines that guide them in understanding and making connections between concepts and procedures.

Right Start
RS2 Level G

Mathematics is a complete elementary and middle-school program that uses visualization of quantities, de-emphasizes counting, and provides strategies and games for learning the facts. The primary learning tool is the AL Abacus, a specially designed two-sided abacus that is both kinesthetic and visual.

PreAlgebra & Algebra

Singapore math is a teaching method based on the national mathematics curriculum used for kindergarten through sixth grade in Singapore. The term was coined in the United States to describe an approach originally developed in Singapore to teach students to learn and master fewer mathematical concepts at greater detail as well as having them learn these concepts using a three-step learning process: concrete, pictorial, and abstract. In the concrete step, students engage in hands-on learning experiences using concrete objects such as chips, dice, or paper clips. This is followed by drawing pictorial representations of mathematical concepts. Students then solve mathematical problems in an abstract way by using numbers and symbols.

Saxon Math
Course 2

Saxon Math Course 2 is for 7th grade. The text is no-nonsense but attractive in a clean-cut way. An accent color helps illustrate concepts and provides some organizational structure. There are 120 daily Lessons plus 12 Investigations (practical application) in each course. Groups of ten Lessons and one Investigation are wrapped into a Section, each of which has a particular focus and includes particular mathematical strands. Daily Lessons follow a pattern that will be familiar to Saxon users. A Power Up (Building Power) section reviews math facts and provides mental math problems as well as a problem solving dilemma (i.e. problem). The New Concept (Increasing Knowledge) segment provides instruction (written directly to the student), worked examples and a short Practice Set for reinforcing what has just been learned. Written Practice (Strengthening Concepts) is a longer set of problems that reviews and continues practice on concepts cumulative from the start of the book.Early Finishers (not included with every lesson) are a few real-world application problems available to students who complete the assignment early.

Teaching Textbooks

Early primary-grade math lays the framework for all later mathematical skills and is also vitally important for everyday life. Ensure that your students understand every aspect of adding and subtracting multiple numbers, writing fractions, carrying, multiplication, money, telling time, advanced place value, mental multiplication, whole numbers, decimals, perimeter, area, temperature, the metric system, and bar & line graphs with Teaching Textbooks 3. The workbook contains all the problem and practice sets, as well as written summaries of each lecture; the summaries conveniently allow children to skim over the text instead of re-watching the lecture if they forget a key point.


ALEKS (Assessment and LEarning in Knowledge Spaces) is a research-based, web-based, artificially intelligent assessment and learning online math program for grades 3-12. ALEKS provides the advantages of one-on-one instruction and is accessible from virtually any computer with Internet access. ALEKS uses adaptive questioning to adjust the learning modules presented. A placement assessment is used to determine a student’s knowledge in a course, and periodic reassessments help ensure knowledge retention. ALEKS is web-based and accessible on both Windows and Mac systems. ALEKS is a division of McGraw-Hill Education.
